Color as Background -

Color can be used as a background for HTML element. Background color can be provided by using bgcolor attribute. The bgcolor attribute will come as attribute for HTML elements. The HTML elements are mostly page body and table backgrounds.

Syntax -

<tagname bgcolor= "color-value"…></tagname>

The color-value can be provided in three formats.

  1. color name
  2. <body bgcolor="yellow">

  3. color value
  4. <body bgcolor"#CCCCCC">

  5. RGB value
  6. <body bgcolor="rgb(60,40,60)">

Image as Background -

Image can be used as a background for HTML element. Background Image can be provided by using background attribute. The background attribute will come as attribute for HTML elements. The HTML elements are mostly page body and table backgrounds.

Syntax -

<tagname background= "image-path/URL"…></tagname>

Image type can be anything, but mostly used types are JPEG,GIF and PNG.
