In this topic, we described about the Park G/L Document Posting process along with technical information.
A clerk can post the G/L document with the amount which is authorized for him to approve. If he needs to post a G/L document with excess amount than authorized, the document needs to be saved and send for higher authority review.
The process of saving G/L document with excess amount than authorized is called as Park G/L document posting.
Let us assume a clerk has authority to post G/L documents with a maximum amount $1000. There is a situation that he needs to post a G/L document with amount $2000 which he does not have the authority.
In these scenarios, SAP provided Park Facility for the document which allows the user to save the document, but the amount is not posted in the G/L Accounts. The document can be reviewed by High Authority who has appropriate posting amount authorization. Once approved, the document is posted in G/L Accounts.
