SAP PP Create Goods Issue Reversal
A goods issue reversal is the act of returning those issued materials back to stock — effectively “undoing” the goods issue. In SAP this is typically done using movement type 262 (reverse issue for order), or by cancelling the material document if appropriate.
This reversal restores stock levels and corrects inventory & accounting records when materials were issued by mistake, over-issued, or if production order is cancelled or changed.
Prerequisites -
- You must know the original goods issue document number — the material document that was generated when the goods issue (261) was posted.
- The production order (or process/order reference) must still be valid or open — at least until reversal is done.
- Use correct transaction and movement type.
